Large format prints for the Surtex 2019 Show

Large format prints for the Surtex 2019 Show

Recently we helped New York City based artist Adrienne Leban with printing large-format prints for her booth at Surtex 2019 at the Jacob Javits Center.
Although there are different areas/booths to showcase your work, we needed to make three panels for a backdrop and three smaller panels for a podium which was in the center of her display area. After getting a few measurements, Adrienne created chose the artwork she wanted to display and sent us the print-ready files. As with most jobs, we made a few samples and collaborated with the artist to get the perfect color on each print. Once the proofs were chosen, we printed the large-format versions, let them dry, and then trimmer them to the proper size on our industrial cutting sheer. They then were rolled up, put into large shipping tubes, and were delivered to Adrienne.
Check out the end result here.

How is a Stop Sign made?

How is a Stop Sign made?

Although you may be able to find Stop signs online and in stores made of other materials, such as heavy-duty plastic, we make all of ours on aluminum. We do this because our signs are manufactured to meet  MUTCD (Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices) standards. We use high-quality, produced in the U.S.A.,  .080” thick anodized aluminum. The anodized coating prevents corrosion and stabilizes the aluminum for the best adhesion of the Reflective Sheeting.

Why reflective sheeting? What does all of this mean?
